Every year on December 5th, people around the world come together to celebrate International Volunteer Day, a day dedicated to recognising and honoring the invaluable contributions of volunteers. This year, our hotel took a proactive approach to mark this special day by organising a team litter pick around our premises. The goal was simple yet impactful – to contribute to a cleaner environment and inspire positive change within our community. 

 

Volunteering is a powerful force that brings people together, fostering a sense of unity and purpose. As a team, we recognise the responsibility we have towards the environment and the community that surrounds us. International Volunteer Day presented the perfect opportunity to channel our collective energy towards a shared goal: a cleaner, more sustainable future. 

 

Our team, armed with gloves, rubbish bags, and a strong sense of camaraderie, set out to scour Bruntwood Park. Before starting, we divided tasks, designated specific areas, and established safety guidelines to ensure a smooth and efficient cleanup process. 

 

After a few hours of dedicated work, our team gathered to celebrate our achievements. The bags filled with litter were a tangible representation of our collective impact. As we reflected on the day's events, it became clear that the joy of giving back and contributing to a cleaner environment was a reward in itself.
